Danseuse and National Award winning actress Shobhana was last seen on the Malayalam big screen in director Joshy's 'Mampazhakkalam'. After a few years' gap, Shobhana is now back with 'Naale', a film by debutante director Manu.

A major highlight of 'Naale' is Dileep who teams up with Shobhana for the first time. In addition, Shobhana will appear in a cameo role in director Pramod Pappan's big budget film 'Musafir', starring Rahman and Mamta Mohandas in the lead.

Other in the cast includes Sai Kumar, Manoj K Jayan, Jagathy Sreekumar, Devan, T G Ravi, Shafna, Priya Raman, Sukumari, Sangeetha Mohan and Ambika Mohan. 'Naale' will have M. J. Radhakrishnan wielding the camera.

After Dhee, Dubai Seenu and Ready, Srinu Vaitla is one of the most sought-after directors in Tollywood. Right now, he is busy with Nagarjuna's King. Then after wrapping up King's shooting, he will start on an untitled rib-tickling comedy that stars Venkatesh.

Later, he is all set to do a flick with Prabhas, to be produced by Aditya Ram. Prabhas is currently busy shooting for Billa. The project with Prabhas will begin after the completion of both these movies, say Film Nagar sources.

All these projects will be kicked off only in 2009. King will be launched as a Christmas/ New Year holiday treat for Nag's fans.

Kajal Agarwal, the name is synonymous with success in a short span of time. She has been paired opposite many dashing heroes in her movies, be it with Allu Arjun, Ram Charan Teja, Vivek Oberoi and others. As often said, if success comes your way, you definitely have to pay a price for it. Even our dainty Kajal is not spared either. But it's all a coincidence and when I take up offers, it's decided on the script and scope for roles depicted on my characterization. If Bommalaatam was released earlier, none would have questioned me

so since I have paired up with Arjun."


Well haven't we come across the likes of Kajal Agarwal earlier as well. A couple of years ago many of the glamorous young actresses of Malayalam film industry Kavya Madhavan, Meera Jasmine and others had vowed not to act with the veterans and seniors. They were not ready to play heroines to heroes far too older to them , even if it be superstars like Mammootty or Mohanlal. Not long after, we saw Kavya with Mohanlal in Madambi and Meera Jasmine with Mammootty in Ore Kadal and with Mohanlal in Rasathantram and Innathe Chintha Vishayam.

Junior NTR, N.T. Rama Rao's other grandson, is now busy with a film being directed by V.V. Vinayak. After this film, it is reliably learnt that he is going to be the hero in a film to be directed by Selva Raghavan, who loved the beautiful love story narrated by the director. Selva Raghavan has directed two hit films 7G Brindavan Colony and Aadavari Matalaku Ardhale Verule (AMAV). This will be his second 'straight' Telugu film after AMAV. Singanamala Ramesh will be producing the Junior NTR-Selva Raghavan flick. Already Singanamala Ramesh is producing two big budget films with Pawan Kalyan under S.J. Suryah's direction and with Maheshbabu under Trivikram Srinivas' direction. The Pawan Kalyan-S.J. Suryah flick was first titled Puli; then the title was changed to Komaram Puli. Pawan Kalyan has been sporting a fearsome moustache for this

Chandra Siddhartha, who directed Aa Naluguru and Madhumasam is now turning producer with House Full, directed by debutant Ajay Bhuyan. Vipin, Vega, Aryan and Gauri Pandit are the lead actors with comedian Ali playing a key role.

Anup is composing the music for this romantic and comic thriller. The film will hit screens in late January or early February.

Chandra Siddhartha stated, "Our film will have minute points with delicate comedy. Don't be misled by the title and think that this is a movie related to the film industry. It is an out-and-out entertainer and at the same time, it has lots of interesting twists. The film deals with some incidents that occur in a single night. We have completed the shooting of the talkie part and plan to can songs from the first week of December. Special sets are being erected for the choreography of two songs. We are making efforts to release the film either in the last week of December or the first week of January."

Nainee Dikshit, Ali, Dharmavarapu Subrahmanyam, R.K., Ambati Srinu, Tarzan, Sattenna and Dasanna are in the supporting star cast.

Demure Trisha, heroine of Saami (Tamil), Varsham and Aadavari Matalaku Ardhale Veerule (Telugu) and many more memorable movies, is a successful actress in South Indian films Though other top heroines like Shriya, Asin, Sada, Genelia and Ileana have migrated to Bollywood, Trisha has so far not appeared in Bollywood films.

Trisha says that though she received several Hindi film offers, she has so far not accepted any of them. She has set forth some conditions for acting in a Hindi film. The first condition is that the film should star a top hero. Secondly the film should be made on a lavish budget. Thirdly, the story should be good. If all the conditions are met, then Trisha will agree to act in Bollywood.

Right now, Trisha is busy shooting for the Nagarjuna starrer King which is due for a December release.

Kavithalaya, the production house run by Kamal's mentor K Balachandar has expressed its desire to produce a movie casting Kamal Haasan.

According to Balachandar's son-in-law Kandasamy, "It's our longtime desire to produce a magnum opus with Kamal. We are searching for an apt script. The film would set a new trend in the Indian film industry."

He added, "We want to escalate Kamal to global audiences like our 'Muthu' did for Rajini. We hope that our forthcoming venture would fulfill it."

Sasirekha Parinayam, an episode from the classic movie 'Mayabazar' seemingly inspired director Krishna Vamsi. The maker has completed his movie titled 'Sasirekha Parinayam' starring Tarun and Genelia in the lead cast. It has been produced by Sunkara Madhu Murali on Karthikeya Creations banner.

The shooting schedules planned at Rajahmundry, Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam has been completed. Post-production works are under progress and the makers are planning to bring out the movie on 14th January as a Sankranthi gift. The audio of the film will be launched in the 2nd week of this month.

Krishna Vamsi's work usually portrays sensitive emotions on celluloid and this time he's out to narrate the incident behind a Rajamundry girl's wedding and how it falls out of place.

S.S. Rajamouli had agreed to direct a film with Sunil as hero but the date when the director would begin was not fixed.

Throwing some light on the issue, the director said, "Presently I am working Ram Charan's film. As we are totally concentrating on that project, I have no option but to postpone the film with Sunil. The project cannot be treated as shelved. It has just been postponed for some more time, that's all. Most possibly we will begin in April 2009."

Ram Charan Teja, Chiranjeevi's son, is busy with his second movie; Chirutha, the first, was a runaway hit that showcased Ram Charan's dancing skills. Ram Charan Teja's second film is most likely to hit screens in the summer of 2009.

Arya II, a sequel to the hugely successful Arya, is being jointly produced by Bogavalli Prasad and Aditya Babu. The former has produced Chatrapathi earlier and the latter has made Jagadam.

Arya II has Allu Arjun and Kajal Agarwal playing the main leads. The second lead has to be initially played by Shraddha Arya. But according to reports she has been replaced by Shraddha Dass.

So when the director decided to do a romantic close scene with the two of them it was all laughter on the sets. Namitha was supposed to lie on top of Raja for this scene and pretend that she is craving for more. But when she lay on Raja he welted under her weight and just gave up unable to take her weight.

At the same time, the film is being made with a big budget. The climax scenes that were shot on Railway Track at Araku have come out well. Among all my earlier films, the audio of this film was quite melodious and impressive. The producers are of the opinion to release the film on January 1.' This is a very gesture from a very reticent and quite Nagarjuna. Nagarjuna apparently was found chatting up the fatso of the Happy Days film Krishnudu who is doing fine on a professional front with his next film called Vinayakudu waiting in the pipelines to be released.

But he seems to be gone for a toss with all that weight. Nagarjuna apparently has suggested the young guy to workout at least 45 minutes a day to not only keep fit but also be disease free and healthy.

Krishnudu seems to have taken nag Bhai's advice seriously and has already started working out as Nagarjuna does every day. Nagarjuna had also him not to go for artificial methods like liposuction. It seems that he said to Krishnudu, to work out daily for fitness with priority but not simply reducing weight.

The thought of making a remake has always been in Balakrishna's mind. The legendry NTR had left such a treasure trove of films that picking up one among them for a remake seems to be the trouble. Balakrishna had decided years ago to remake Narthanashala.

He had roped in the beautiful Soundarya for the film. Her untimely death sent the plans backstage. That was then. Now again Balakrishna seems to be all ready and seems to have decided to remake Seetarama Kalyanam one of the legendry NTR's all time hit.

The decision to remake this film comes as no surprise as in the Platinum Jubilee celebrations function when Balakrishna was asked which one of NTR's films was his favorite he had said 'Seetarama Kalyanam'.

The film Mantra with Charmi and Sivaji was a runaway thrilling hit last year. The producer of that film C Kalyan Ram is now making a film titled Dairy under tha banner of Gen Next Movies.

Sivaji plays the male lead in this film. Bollywood's Masami Udeshi makes her debut with this film. The other female lead is played by Shradda Das.

Dairy is also a thriller like Mantra. This film will be directed by Manchakanti Ramakrishna. The muhurt of this film was held today at Ramanaidu Studios. The regular shooting will commence soon.
