The Nandi awards for the year 2007 were announced the other day. Venkatesh bagged the Best actor award for his role in AMAV while Chamry bagged the Best actress award for her role in Manthra.
However, many people are not entirely happy with the way the awards were chosen. Many felt that Bhoomika deserved to bag the Best actress award for Anasuya than Charmy. Similarly the Best comedian award for Uttej for his role in Chandamama is also not right felt many people who follow films very closely.
The National Integration award for the film Chandrahas has also come as a big surprise to many. The Gopichand starrer Lakshyam, is a violent film with brutal killings. It is a surprise that such a film was chosen as the Second Best film.
